DVD cover

this is our final dvd cover.
i think it works well with transparency because it shows the transparancy in our understanding of the character.
is he a murderer?

we will have to watch the rest of the film to find out. thats what i like about it.
i think the layout of the cover works well and fits genre convention. we were at first inspired by the cover to 'Secret Window' but then our idea changed.

my final thoughts on the sequence

After reflecting on the finished sequence i am very proud. The project overall has been very enjoyable and i feel i have learnt a lot about production and working in a group.

i think there could be some improvements to the sequence such as lighting, however the feedback we have recieved suggests that they were not too important.

our group worked very well together and there was nothing that stopped us getting on with our work. we communicated well with each other and got along well when filming and editing.

i am pleased with the outcome of our work. :)

our final sequence

Relapse:

when applying narrative structure typicality to our sequence the characters normality, that we are aware of is the fact that he is on drugs, from the flash backs we see that he spends a lot of time under the influence. his normality is disturbed when he kills the girl. in a way he returns to the normality when he is unconcious because we guess he will wake up and no longer be the same killler that he was before.

when applying the Binary opposites theory to relapse it could be stated that such opposites as:

  • killer vs victim
  • sober vs not sober
  • witness vs murder
  • good vs bad
  • innocence vs guilt
  • man vs woman
  • sanity vs insanity
  • normality vs drug addiction
appear.
